High pressure applications Chemical & Industry
In the chemical and industrial sectors, highest pressures are required for numerous applications. HOFER compressors are often used to generate these pressures. In addition to HOFER diaphragm compressors, which can generate final pressures of up to 3,000 bar, hydraulically driven piston compressors (TKH) are also used in these areas. These are dry-running high-pressure compressors with slow speed (speed equivalent 24 1/min). TKHs can be designed up to dischargepressures of 6,000 bar.
